How we will select players for our Leagues
If only running one league
- Season 1
- Current League Members get first choice to stay in the league.
- Then, players from the previous year, starting with the player with the most points.
- Then, substitutes from the previous year, Starting with the player with the most chips.
- Then, anyone else that wants to play on (either a first come first serve basis or random drawing?).
- Season 2
- Current League Members get first choice to stay in the league.
- Then, Subs from Season One, starting with the player with the most chips
- Then, players from the previous year, starting with the player with the most points.
- Then, Subs from the previous year, starting with the player with the most chips.
- Then, anyone else that wants to play on (either a first come first serve basis or random drawing?).
- Season 3
- Current League Members get first choice to stay in the league.
- Then Players from Season One that left, starting with the player with the most points.
- Then, Subs from the year, starting with the player with the most chips
- Then, players from the previous year, starting with the player with the most points.
- Then, Subs from the previous year, starting with the player with the most chips.
- Then, anyone else that wants to play on (either a first come first serve basis or random drawing?).
If running multiple leagues
- Season 1
- Current League Members get first choice to stay in the league.
- Next, if a spot opens up in another league and a current member wants to switch to it, starting with player with the most points from previous year.
- Next, Players from previous year, starting with the player with the most points.
- Next, Subs from the previous year, starting with the player with the most chips.
- Then, anyone else that wants to play on (either a first come first serve basis or random drawing?).
- Season 2
- Current League Members get first choice to stay in the league.
- Next, if a spot opens up in another league and a current member wants to switch to it, starting with player with the most points.
- Next, Subs from Season One, starting with the player with the most chips.
- Next, Players from previous year, starting with the player with the most points.
- Next, Subs from the previous year, starting with the player with the most chips.
- Then, anyone else that wants to play on (either a first come first serve basis or random drawing?).
- Season 3
- Current League Members get first choice to stay in the league.
- Next, if a spot opens up in another league and a current member wants to switch to it, starting with player with the most points.
- Next, League Members from Season One that left, starting with the player with the most points.
- Next, Subs from the year, starting with the player with the most chips.
- Next, Players from previous year, starting with the player with the most points.
- Next, Subs from the previous year, starting with the player with the most chips.
- Then, anyone else that wants to play on (either a first come first serve basis or random drawing?).
Criteria Hierarchy for Choosing Players
- 1. Points
- 2. Chips
- 3. Coin Flip
Players can be in multiple leagues
- Only one concurrent season (your highest) will count towards the Club Championship.
- Not sure where to place choosing to be in multiple leagues on the player selection list yet. Would either be another option when a spot opens up in another league for a current league member (With the switching league member getting preference before the adding another league member). Or would go right before, “anyone else wants to play”.
- Will debate this with club members.
This is the initial idea. Open to suggestions. Just trying to make a system that is fair and rewards current players, recent players, and subs.
What I would probably do is make a post on the Website & Facebook page about what openings we have and leave it up for a week. Then you would comment and also write when you last played, what league, if you were a player or a sub, what position you want to fill, or if you are open to any of the available positions.
Then I would work it all out and message people as necessary to get everything in order before the next season starts.
